Back to Berkeley

Well, last week I trekked back to Berkeley for another audition. I was really excited, as it was for a local conductor that has done work all over the Bay Area for years, Michael Morgan. I feel very fortunate to have received the information about the general audition.

It was a perfect drive to Berkeley, until......my rib went out! That's right. One of my upper ribs went out, poked at my lungs and made it very difficult to breathe deeply. Oh, who needs to do that when you're singing opera, right? So, I just sang one aria that went quite well, but I almost wish that I would've toughed it out and brought in my other music. That's all right, I was happy to do it and find out that I ACTUALLY knew people at the audition! Yeah, the new girl knew people there. All is well!
