We are now in throws of tech rehearsals here at the Berkeley Repertory Theatre. It has gone really smoothly thus far. It takes a bit more time because we are working with 3 swing characters. They will be doing some of the performances for 3 of the leads. 8 shows a week can be brutal, and so this will be great. The swing actors/singers are doing an amazing job! This show has so many little tricks involved. It's not just getting to your spot for blocking reasons, there are cameras to think about which really complicates things, especially if you're not used to working on camera. The learning curve is high, but the swings have done an amazing job!
